LANCE WANTS TO BE REMEMBERED

One of the greatest champions in the history of cycling, Lance Armstrong does not want to be remembered as a champion cyclist but as good father.

The seven time Tour de France champion was recently on a visit to Canada to promote his Livestrong line of fitness equipments at the local outlet of Canadian Tire and speaking to Marci Len of Canada AM, Armstrong said that although he is still very much committed to keeping his fitness up and fighting to eradicate cancer, he wants to cement his legacy by being the greatest dad that his five kids could ever ask for.

Armstrong added that the future of his kids is something that he cannot afford to mess with and their futures is his number one priority in life. He also added that second on that list is to eradicate cancer from the world during his lifetime and thirdly, he wants to give something back to the sport where he made his name, but that comes at a distant third place.

The former cyclist Lance Armstrong made himself a household name in the late 1990s and early 2000s when he won the Tour de France seven times in a row, after surviving from testicular cancer and since his retirement from the sport, he has dedicated his life to philanthropic activities. The former champion spent almost 25 of years, the best part of his life dedicated to cycling and although, he admittedly misses cycling, he does not miss the stress, travelling and leaving his kids at home.

Having been diagnosed with testicular cancer that spread to his brain and lungs, he managed to survive, defeat the odds and become a champion but still, Lance Armstrong considers his battle against the disease secondary to that of the future of his five kids.
